Labor day Weekend 2007:
This was our first and last camping trip of the summer but a great time was had by all. Our trip took us to Hebo Lake located between Lincoln city and Tillamook in the coast range. Hebo Lake is a small lake that is stoked regularly with rainbow trout. There are 16 campsites and is used moderately, but the views and scenery are great.
Anna liked being able to see all of the great Northwest sites from a top Hebo Mountain. We could see Tillamook, Pacific City and Lincoln City, as well as Mt. Hood, Adams, St. Helens and the tip of Mt. Rainier. While we only camped over night it was worth the trip and a definite do again. Hebo lake is high enough to give it an "alpine" feel but is about 25min from Pacific City.
