New lens, check out the leaves

Friday, October 31, 2008

After the last shoot with the kids. I noticed the leaves were not coming out the way I wanted them too. So I finally decide to get a faster lens. The Cannon 50mm F1.8 for $89 at Amazon. Not terribly expensive, but I will be packing a lunch for the next couple of months. Let me know what you think of these. Sepia or Color? Got to love the leaves.- SG

More Fall Fun

Monday, October 27, 2008

Okay, so I have been playing with the Free Picasa program by Google. Can I say for the Price of FREE, I love this editor. Shaun took the pictures. I did a few with my point and shoot too. But all edits and collages are done in picasa. I am not techie enough like Shaun to use photoshop. The only problem is that I have wasted too much time. So off to work I go. -DG

A Golden Afternoon in the leaves

We found a perfect spot where the sun was shining down through the trees. The leaves were yellow and made for an amazing background. The kids had fun playing in the leaves. Wished we had more time to play.

Eventful Week

Friday, October 3, 2008

What a week, the stock market crashes and rebounds and crashes again.

Shaun ponders doing something different and the opportunity is thrust upon him

and

he has had TWO DAYS with mainly no headache. This has not occurred since April when the headache appeared suddenly one day. I still have a headache daily, but it is gone or all but gone most of the day. This is a huge step in the right direction. Let's hope it stays this way and not like last month, which was the inverse.

More balloon pictures- Just for Jef and The Davis family

Here are pictures of two of the balloons that did not land in the park, but went right over our house.

Hello people below. Some one had to go first. I gladly will make that sacrifice.

Okay, now, who is the hill-billy in that house. Clean it up. Talk about falling house prices. The picture alone is crushing the housing economy.

Proof that indeed Amelia rode in a balloon with Dad.

This one is for Jef. We didn't go very high to get more.
