Old Navy Weekly

Monday, July 27, 2009

For those of you who are interested and have nothing but time. Once a week Old Navy updates their website on http://www.oldnavyweekly.com/

If you are there within minutes of their update (lately has been Thursday evenings and Friday mornings) then you might be able to find a coupon for $75 off a $100 purchase or $50 off a $100 purchase. There are other coupons, but they of course are they are much less impressive.

So far we have never be online when the site refreshes for the week. Oh, and here is a link that tells you who to find the items for this week, so you can practice finding everything.

Who's Your Hero

Monday, July 20, 2009

For awhile now I have wanted to photograph a series of children depicting scripture heroes. My all time hero is Moses, but I have yet to figure out how to part the Red Sea.

Anyway, so here is Captain Moroni. It is fun to see Matthew strut around the house acting like him. So I made him some armor, borrowed a sword, and Anna made him a title of liberty, just as you read in Alma 46:12:
In memory of our God,
our religion,
and freedom,
and our
our wives,
and our children—
and he fastened it upon the end of
a pole.

I just about got this finished when what did I get in the mail today? The New Era for August. The title is Role Models (page 24- 29) and of course Captain Moroni is listed. With the above scripture. Now here is another funny thing. Looking through the Aug Ensign there is an article "Just a game" (page 46) depicting hands coming out of a computer screen grabbing a person on the otherside. I worked on this same thing last fall (before becoming Bishop) photographing myself in the garage. I ended up scrapping it, since my wife said it was too strange. Well, now, can't be too bad if it is in the Ensign. I have my version and the Ensign version below.
