These are the first pictures I have taken or edited (retouched sounds better) in sometime. Some photos are better than others, personally I love the Polar Bear he looks so regal, and of course the monkeys on the bottom center are magnificent and cuddly. I also found many photoshop templates for creating storyboards of which this is one of. Anyway we took some time and went to the zoo recently and had a great time we even had sun breaks. What a miracle that was. -SG

This year none of the presents had labels on them until Christmas eve, but were all wrapped. Amazingly there was only one mix up. Mr. M. got Little A's scripture tote and she got his. He was so happy, but when we told him the other one was actually his he started to cry. In the end they made the trade and all is well now.

The Castle house is a tradition we see every year. I think we found the place about 10 years ago and usually go a couple of times each year. This year we were very slow to get there, but we finally made it there on Christmas eve. We went by just before dark, and then later that night. Each bay is full of wonderful things for all to see. I love to watch the kid's faces light up with excitement. Mr. M. loved the train this year. He stood there and watched if for quite a while.
Homes seem to decorate less often any more, but not this block. It is a joy to see this and if anyone local has not seen this. Well next year this is a must for you.

This year's school pictures came with an option to have mixed layouts if you ordered online. So we thought we would give it a try. Additionally all online orders came with a CD. I even read the license agreement to see if it allowed me to blog them. It allows any non commercial use, which surprised me that there were no exceptions. Any way they are the same two poses, but with different layouts. it was fun to try and we felt we got more for our money. After all you have to order school pictures. We also did not chose any traditional layouts. Most of the images we ordered came on the CD in sepia, B & W, and color for each image even though we didn't purchase sheet in those colors.
