Its all about safety

I haven't had time to post for a while, but when I saw this today, I thought post it or lose it. There are so many precious memories that I forget if I don't record them.

So here is the story behind this. While waiting for big sister to get out of school I asked him to put his seat belt back on and when I turned around this is what I saw. There are an additional 3 seat belts creatively tied together.

Now for another story similar to the one above. Last winter for about a three month length of time, every time I would drive him around town he would start to yell at me, " Watch out, Mom!" or "Watch out for that car" (it was a parked car normally on the other side of the road, but details like that did not phase his emphasis). Then it was always followed by "Phewwww, that was a close one." Then only a few seconds later he would yell the same thing for another car, always followed by "Phewwww, that was a close one." The girls would just bust up laughing every time and so the cycle continued much longer than I appreciated.

PS. He never once has critiqued his father's driving. I am now really beginning to think this boy is trying to say something about my driving. It would not surprise me if he demanded to have his turn at the wheel soon. Then again that may not be a good idea yet, since he also yells go, when the light is green, but traffic is backed up. I have to explain to him that I can not drive over cars each and every time.

So glad to see you post something new! I figured you buckled him like that because you like to be so safe! :) We Love Matthew and his humor. I think tying things together is like a very innate boy thing. My boys were always tying stuff up! The back seat driving thing happens with my boys too. It cracks me up though that he yells it. Ethan use to yell stop! When he saw red lights or stop signs, now Hayden tells me to stop, and which way to go when we are going somewhere she knows the way. It is pretty funny how well she can navigate at 3 1/2! Cute picture!
